IF you are planning to have your sword restored, look no further as we have earned the title of # 1. We alone have a reputation for providing the highest quality parts and materials plus solid customer satisfaction. You can expect to receive the highest level of workmanship because we work with and rely upon only the best craftsmen in the world.
The greatest majority of our Fuchi / Kashira, our Menuki and our Tsuba's are hand made copies of museum-quality originals which were obtained from collections throughout the United States and Japan. The actual producing of each individual part involves 100% 'hands on' effort from start to finish. What makes each of our parts so unique and so much sought after is the fact that we were fortunate enough to have made molds of genuine original Japanese parts (first generation). These parts were created by highly talented artists of the time and their skills cannot be duplicated by modern craftsmen.
Our parts are all 'first generation' copies and only a tiny amount of detail is lost when compared to the 'originals'.
While it may be easy for others to copy our parts, the result of their efforts would produce '2nd' generation' copies that automatically loose most of the fine detail of the originals. The only way for 'others' to sell poor quality copies is to display them in very small size on their own web pages and slightly 'out of focus' and hope that potential customers are careless and fail to note that their 3rd generation copies are not made of Steel but of some low grade copper alloy.
Each of our Fuchi Kashira sets are made of solid Steel (Tetsu) and in limited cases are also available in solid Sterling Silver. Our hi-tech casting process (glass molds and induction furnaces) will continue to produce high quality copies and in the process, capturing every bit of the tiniest details produced by the original Japanese artist.
We had at one time considered making copies of parts produced by modern artists but were encouraged to continue doing what we do. We pledge therefore to continue offering only copies of 'great works of art' along with some of our own 'original' works rather than offer parts that lack that special 'something' found in the shapes and designs produced by Japanese craftsmen.
Prospective buyers are encouraged to closely inspect and compare all sword parts for their sturdiness, functionality as well as price. Doing so will reveal that each of our parts possess a high degree of detail and workmanship that sets them apart from all others. Unlike other contemporary sword parts, all of our Fuchi, Kashira, Menuki and Tsuba) are free of solder joints and other potential defects and therefore are 'GUARANTEED' to last a lifetime.
To quote John Ruskin (who I think said something like this):
"It is better to pay too much than to pay too little.
If you pay too much, you loose a little bit of money.
If you pay too little, and your purchase is 'ka-put', you loose all your money."
