PACKAGE # 3, complete handle replacement

Our 'HANDLE PACKAGE' consists of a new wood 'core' professionally carved to fit the sword tang and both the Fuchi and the Kashira, instead of the more  commonly used one inch wide strips of stingray skin on the sides, we use a 4 inch wide piece of Stingray skin that is wrapped around the wood core with a slight 'overlapping' of the skin.  When it dries, the skin  shrinks slightly and conforms to the shape of the wood core.  The Stingray skin we use (traditional) is 'rawhide' and the 'overlap wrap' produces a handle that is just about 'bullet proof' and it is guaranteed by us not to split, break or be easily damaged under the most difficult of conditions.  In all cases, because the handle is not made with two 'strips' of skin on the side, the 'overlap wrap' produces a handle that is tougher than any other method of handle construction.  Lastly, the handle is professionally wrapped with your choice of either non-stretch Leather, Silk or our fantastic TSUNAMI cord.  When wrapping is complete, a new Bamboo peg in installed and, everything it right, tight and ready for combat.

Note:  Menuki and Fuchi Kashira (the metal parts) are not included and may be purchased from us or we can use customer supplied parts. Their installation is free at the time of building your handle.

Compare at $1,000 . . . on 'special' for only $450

Black colored Stingray skin (if requested in advance) is FREE with this package

If your handle wrapping cord or the Kashira is loose or if you tired of the old cord and just want a new color, this package is for you.  We remove the old wrapping, securing the metal parts if needed and tightly wrap the handle with your choice of Silk, leather or Tsunami.  If your cord is loose or if any parts need to be replaced, now is the best time to have it done.  International: Add $20 for Global Priority Mail.
